Plain Quinoa Recipe
A nutritious complete protein. A light grain alternative to rice.

Cooking time: 15-20 minutes

 

Serves: 3-4
Spring, Summer, Autumn

In saucepan boil:
    2 cups water
    a pinch salt

While water is coming to a boil, thoroughly rinse in a strainer for several minutes:
    1 cup quinoa

Add quinoa to water, reduce heat, cover and simmer until all water is absorbed and quinoa becomes translucent and looks like partial spirals. Turn off heat. Let sit covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork
