The Power of the Breath
Create Beneficial Breathing Habits to Feel Calmness and Energy
Not scheduled at this time.
with Vahini
Breath is a precious source of life, but due to tension, long hours of sitting, stress, shyness, or negative emotions, most people only use a small amount of their respiratory capacity. Most of us aren't taking the full, rejuvenating breaths we are capable of. This affects our physical well-being as well as our emotions. Yogis also believe that deep, slow, calm breathing lengthens our life.
Through specific yoga postures, you will:
- Retrain your breathing into a positive habit
- Energize and calm your body and mind
- Increase health and mental balance
- Become more deeply aware of your inner nature
You will learn:
- Diaphragmatic breathing to relax and calm the nervous system.
- Full Yogic Breathing--to expand breath and increase energy
- Bramari pranayama for good sleep
- A simple meditation technique for watching the breath: to relax, calm your mind, and deepen your awareness
- You will also receive a short yoga sequence (to help open the breath) that you can practice at home
This retreat is for everyone who wants to learn more about the power of breathing and meditation. It will give you tools to create a good breathing habit and to feel calmer and more energized and balanced. This short weekend will transform your life for the better.
We look forward to seeing you!
